Roncesvalles is often fondly referred to as “Roncy.” It is known for its family-friendly and happy ambience and has a European feel. From Dundas to Queen along Roncesvalles, there are plenty of trendy cafes, health food stores, produce markets, bakeries and boutique clothing stores.
Roncesvalles borders the High Park neighbourhood and is within walking distance of Bloor West Village, known for its bakeries, specialty food shops, cafes and restaurants.
With a short stroll down Howard Park Avenue, residents can enjoy Toronto’s High Park, with almost 400 acres of public land, an outdoor theatre, a mini zoo, playgrounds, a restaurant, a museum, gardens, a train and plenty of places to picnic. The park also has several sports facilities for soccer, lawn bowling, tennis, baseball, swimming, skating, and paths for joggers and bikers. In addition to High Park, there is also Sorauren Park and G. Williams Park in this neighbourhood.
